1849-D $ 2 1/2 ICG-AU55 Scarce, Low Mintage, Dahlonega Gold, Cert#7146590101.     This Beautiful Liberty Head 1849-D 1/2 Dollar Gold Coin is Professionally Graded ICG-AU55, Almost Uncirculated, coin is Low Mintage 10,945 , and Minted at the Dahlonega Mint. This Scarce Vintage 172 year old coin really looks great for age, all Details are Clear and Sharp, and easy to see and read. Back of coin has a very Beautiful Gold Toning look. Grading shows Damaged and Polished. My Wife purchased me this coin years ago from a Jewelry store. Coin was in a Ring Setting. I just had it removed from Ring, and Graded. There are some indentions marks on back of coin from the ring prongs. Designer Christian Gobrecht; weight 4.18 grams; composition .900 Gold, .100 Copper (net weight) .12094 oz.
