    Description

Up for sale is a scarce and fascinating variety + error note. It is a 1950 note Mule variety. This means it has a 1950 face with Clark-Snyder signatures and large plate numbers, but a reverse with the earliest 1934 Micro size plate number. This is absolutely amazing that this plate was in service so long. For other denominations, the micro size was replaced with series 1934-A with some mules between 1934 (plain) and 1934-A faces/backs. But it is incredible to see a series crossover with a 1950 face and 1934 back.
On top of that, this note was misprinted with a shift error. The seal and district numbers are noticeably skewed left, with the upper left number into the printed foliage design, the date into the portrait design, and the seal off center. Plus it has a fancy serial with 4 pairs. This note has everything going for it!
It grades VF in my opinion with some crispness, showing mild and even circulation. Please check scans and judge condition for yourself. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
