Description: Up for sale an antique circa 1920s Fire Truck bell. Solid heavy brass casting weighing over 25 pounds. Heavy chrome plating over entire bell including clapper. Has support arm with four holes for attachment. Top has an acorn finial. Hard to see but US is found on the outside of bell. On the inside of the bell embossed in the metal is the signature of Anchor Brass and Aluminum Company. I was able to find documents and advertisements on the net from the 1920s. They were located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Information seems to stop after the 1920s so I am thinking the Depression did the Company in. Really a very well made bell that might be of interest. Up for sale an antique circa 1920s Fire Truck bell.  Solid heavy brass casting weighing over 25 pounds.  Heavy chrome plating over entire bell including clapper.  Has support arm with four holes for attachment.  Top has an acorn finial.  Hard to see but US is found on the outside of bell.  On the inside of the bell embossed in the metal is the signature of Anchor Brass and Aluminum Company.  I was able to find documents and advertisements on the net from the 1920s.  They were located in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Information seems to stop after the 1920s so I am thinking the Depression did the Company in.   Really a very well made bell that might be of interest.

Dimension:
Bell's diameter at the bottom is 9.5".  Bell stands about 17" to the top of the finial when mounted.
Condition:
Very good condition without chips, cracks or metal loss.  Heavy chrome plating on 95% of the bell.  There are a few areas where chrome has been lost.   Please see all pictures for details.
