The Commercial Bank of China 1929 .00 very scarce Yunnan overprint on purple and brown note (Pick#13A, S/M#C293-63) s/n F291389 circulated with light folds, no pinholes nor splits nor tears, please see scan(s) or e-mail with questions.

This note was made for the Kunming branch. Kunming was vital to the war effort to defeat the Japanese, it was the terminus for Allied supplies from India via the Burma Road and Airlift over the Hump. It was the headquarters of the Famous "Flying Tigers". My uncle was a quartermaster at one of the Indian airfields, this note was likely brought back to US by a member of a flight crew.
