    Description

This is a throttle body adapter that allows use of both an IAC and a cable operated Throttle Body on the 2.5 Duratec manifold which was originally drive by wire (DBW)
Intended for the Ford Focus the original design of these Throttle Body Adapters didn’t locate the IAC (idle air control) solenoid in a good position relative to the upper radiator hose in the MK1/MK1.5 chassis. Angle cutting the end where the IAC mounted tipped it into a workable position and allowed use of the throttle body bracket adapter that we had also designed at the same time. I have been using one of these on my Test Mule all summer and finally got the batch of them to the mill.
These were designed to use the OEM 62mm throttle body found on both the 2.0 and the 2.3 but you do need to remove one of the brass crush insert bushings from the OEM throttle body. The bolt pattern isn’t exactly the same but it is close enough that removal of that bushing allows placement of the throttle body in the same location in the chassis, but more importantly, aligns the throttle bore with the intake opening. The bracket adapter for the cable allows you to reuse your existing cruise control and throttle cables in the factory orientation.
Some trimming of either the 2.5 manifold or the OEM bracket is necessary. If you’re capable of the rest of this swap this stuff is easy enough for you to do.
Included in this kit are the pictured adapter, bolts, gasket, the cable bracket adapter, and instructions. You need your old throttle body, throttle cable bracket from your old motor and your IAC.
