    Description

Signed MOSELL Gold Tone Enamel Egg Sewing Kit Faberge with Stand
This is a beautiful vintage Frederick Mosell purse or travel sewing kit egg with a rose trellis design over a gold base. It also comes with a beautiful gold tone egg stand which was made in Italy and compliments the egg very nicely.   This little gold tone Faberge Style Egg shaped hinged box holds the original sewing kit with a size 7 thimble, pins, a needle and thread. The tiny tools are on removable felt pieces and appear to never have been removed from the egg.  Just a marvelous little sewing kit from the 1940's to 50"s by Mosell the highly sought after costume jewelry company. The gold tone is decorated with tiny white enamel flowers. The inside of the egg is marked Mosell on the inside tip of the top and bottom rim of the egg.  The egg case measures 2 1/4" long by 1 3/4" wide by about 1 1/2" high. The case is in very good vintage condition. The hinge is nice and snug and stays shut when closed. This is a wonderful piece for any Mosell jewelry or sewing kit collector.
