A souvenir of the Scottish Distillery famous for its single malt whisky. its located on the Alness and sits on the banks of the Cromarty Firth overlooking the Black Isle in beautiful Scottland. The Dalmore dates back to 1263 when as legend has it the Chief of the clan Mackenzie-Colin of Kintail- saved King Alexander 111 of Scotland from a charging stag. As a reward the Chief received some land, a motto and permission to use the 12 pointed Royal Stag as the Mackenzie clan crest. The Royal Stag emblem has adorned every bottle of The Dalmore since Andrew and Charles Mackenzie took over the distillery about 1867-28 years after it was founded. Frame is 23x16
